DaVinci Resolve 12.5 also include smart bins that make it easier to edit video faster.
Also new in DaVinci Resolve 12.5 is the Retime curve which enables changing the speed of the playback in real time in the timeline thus taking advantage of higher frame rate cameras.
Another update in DaVinci Resolve 12.5 is the option to see the waveform of the video in the editor window. Using this option you can cut your video according to sound cues without needing to import the videos into the timeline beforehand.
Also new in DaVinci Resolve 12.5 is the new built-in effects such as using lens flares and also using the new point tracker to track the effects onto your footage.
Another new feature regarding editing in DaVinci Resolve 12.5 is the option use the new Ripple overwrite enabling it to insert footage in the timeline without needing to move the rest of the videos around, DaVinci Resolve 12.5 will just insert the footage and ripple the timeline to fit the gaps.
