How to add annotations to your video in ScreenFlow 5

In this tutorial im going to teach you how to add annotations in ScreenFlow 5, and also how to animate them in the video using video actions!

  1. Open ScreenFlow 5.
  2. Click on the Annotation icon (looks like a pen), then click on the plus icon to add new annotation.

3. The annotation will be added to the top layer, where the current time indicator is on.

4. You have 5 different kinds of annotations : Arrow, Line, Square, No Fill Square, and a Circle.2 .ScreenFlow 5 – how to add annotations to your video

5. You can edit the annotation, change it’s color, opacity thickness and more options at this area.3 .ScreenFlow 5 - how to add annotations to your video

6. To add animation to the annotation click on the film icon. Move the current time indicator to the beginning of the video action, this is where the animation is going to start, and then move the current time indicator to the end of the video action and move the annotation the where you want the animation to end at.
